Our journey started in 2003, by a small group of passionate athletes who had the belief that sport could be used to change lives of underserved children and youth. When we started, it was mainly working under strong partners that had the resources and opportunities we believed would help us grow. We based our action on the belief that, to make change, we needed to work together, build a strong team, and grow as one big family.
The Bauleni United Sports Academy (BUSA) was formed to provide a platform for children and youth in communities to be change agents. Our catchment currently covers 6 provinces that, together, reach over thirty thousand people.
For over 17 years, we have been changing lives of children and youth through our sports academy, early childhood school, back to school scholarships, international exchange and we have wide range of partners and have supporters locally and internationally – from FIFA, Streetfootballworld and Common Goal as supporters, to our friends in Norway, UK and the USA, governments and private partners, who believe in the quality standards that underpin our work.
